Basic ICT Skills – Entry 3

Login to computers – knowledge about computer devices, security including password protection, Health and Safety and file management. Each learner will be assessed in all modules taken and create a portfolio of evidence for the awarding body.

    Training is free for people with:

    • Right to Work in UK
    • Proof of ID
    • Learner or spouse must have been resident in UK/EU for last 3 years and
    • To be eligible whilst working those  living inside the Greater London Area they need to earn less than £20572.50 and for those outside they need to earn less £16009.50 to be eligible whilst working.

    To access this course you will need:

    • Good general communication skills in English
    • English literacy proficiency at Entry Level 3 or above

  • Using 'Find a Job' to search for jobs and record any activity

  • Understand upload and download
  • Use cloud storage if required.
Word Processing
  • Create documents
  • Save documents and understand a filing system using a USB device
  • Develop typing skills including accuracy and using a spell checker
  • Use different tools such as Bold, Underline, and Fonts etc.
Spreadsheets
  • Create and save a spreadsheet to record a budget
  • Enter data accurately
  • Use basic formulas to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as well as basic function
  • Basic math input
  • Use some basic charts.
