Area I look after:

The Employability Skills team within the Apprenticeship & Skills Department.

Services I offer:

To build on their employability skills and boost their confidence and chances of gaining employment whether they are out of work or looking to improve their career prospects.

Career summary:

Before working for the college I spent most of my career working for the Civil Service doing a variety of administrative and communication roles all of which were related to Government policy issues such as homelessness and housing issues. Within those roles, I also worked closely with other Government Departments such as Department for Education on cross-government policies to support care leavers who face homelessness once they leave care.

Why choose HCUC:

We are the No.1 college in North West London offering a wide variety of Employability courses and Apprenticeships. We have great training room facilities and tutors of high calibre.

One big achievement I have had at HCUC:

Being part of a team where we now offer blended learning courses and courses which are soley online.

My key strengths:

Good communicator, able to adapt to changing work priorities and making learners feel at ease about their choices of courses and career prospects.
